I'm brewing up a late spring Wit this weekend. I'm going to add orange peel and coriander but I'm also planning to add Cardamom seeds to the brew. I'm doing a 10 gallon batch with OG around 1.045. Any advice on how much to add? Your help is appreciated.

I've never used cardamom in beer, but cook with it all the time. This is a very powerful flavor, so I'd err on the side of caution. Maybe two or three pods to start with?

(that's assuming green cardamom: black cardamom has much bigger pods so you'd probably just want one or less of those)

+1 to 2-3 pods of green cardamom added with about five minutes left to boil. I've used all manner of amounts, from 2 pods in five gallons to the ever-so-scientific "fistful" in 5bbl. :D I thought the 2 pods per five gallons was just enough.
