Hey all,

I brewed a Belgian Dubbel a while back and left it in the primary for 3.5 weeks and transferred to secondary to stay for another 3-4 weeks. Only a week post transfer unnoticed this film on the top. Everything was sanitized really well. In the dubbel recipe I did add raisins into it, chopped, boiled, and added to primary boil. I wasn't going to bottle this for another 3 weeks or so. Is this a lost cause?
I smelled it and it has an alcohol smell mixed with raisins.

Thanks!
Wes

Nope, not a lost cause!
I brewed a Saison once that developed the exact same thing. In fact, over the next week or so mine even had fluffy sort-of growth on the surface. I siphoned the beer out from under it, making sure to take none into the bottling bucket. It ended up scoring pretty well in a competition. I think you're fine; just don't let it mix into the beer and be careful when siphoning the beer out.
