Got a notice telling me I have not posted anything for several weeks and maybe I should join in once in a while. Well ... something to that effect.

I do check the forums every day. There is always something to be learned. I have done only three batches so far, all very easy kit beers. The first two, an amber ale and a brown ale, turned out very well. The latest, a cream ale, is still in the primary. I don`t know what I will brew next. Probably something I can experiment with a bit. I like a malty ale with just a hint of flavour hops. I know I can`t call myself a brewer untill I graduate to extract and boiling and sparging and wort cooling and all the other stuff I know nothing about at this point.

Cheers all,
Joe :)

By the title of the thread I thought you were talking about this. How disappointing.

If you're adding yeast to wort and fermenting beer I don't think anyone here will say you aren't a brewer. ;) Everything else is just adding fun and complexity to the hobby. Read www.howtobrew.com and you'll know all you need to get started on the rest! :mug:

You ARE a brewer as Bradsul says.

You don't need to post several hundered times a week. That would just be post whoring (+1 ;))

Try brewing something with steeping grains next, that is what I am going to try.

Brewing is about making beer, period. My last three batches were an extract, a PM and a AG. The 3CPA has enough hops, you'll never know what the base is.

:off: Post whoring is bad (+1).
As long as you are making beer you are brewing. If you are enjoying the process and able to drink the finished product you are doing something right!
