Today i decided to make some "Hooch" by taking a 64oz of 100% welsh grape juice, pouring out a cup or two to compensate for the bubbles that would be produced, adding two cups of sugar, shaking up the container until the sugar dissolved as much as it could, then i added one pack of fleishchmann's active rapid rise bread yeast and shook that up a bit as well. I then took a balloon, poked a few needle sized holes around the top, maybe about 6 or 7 tiny holes? And then i placed the balloon securely on top of my container, and taped it down to the jug just to make sure it wouldn't fly off accidentally. So far, my yeast is doing really well, I'm seeing lots of bubbles and action going on, but my balloon still hasn't risen yet? Is that because i poked holes in it before hand instead of poking holes in it when it was filled with gas? I don't know what to do. My brew is currently sitting at the bottom of my closet, working amazing but my only concern is the fact that my balloon has not risen. Is this normal?
I'm wondering if i should switch to a new balloon without holes or just let the yeast continue to do its thing. Other than this tiny concern, everything else is working fine :)

Edit: I finished setting up my "brew" at 12:36 PM, it is now 5:55 PM and i am getting lots of bubble activity but my balloon still has not risen. Should i be worried?

Might do better to visit the hooch-makers forum.
In the meantime, a less than full ballon doesn't necessarily indicate a failed hooch fermentation.

Don't expect your "hooch" to taste any good. Baker's yeast makes lousy wine. Go find the Welch's grape juice wine recipe that is on the forum and spend a few bucks on decent ingredients. Unless you are in prison. In which case, carry on...,
