beer out disconnect not seating

i just finished my kegerator and put 2 kegs in and applied co2. that went fine but when i went to put the beer out lines on, they just wouldn't go on. i pull up the thing on the disconnect and press down the whole thing over the post (ball lock) but it just doesn't go on. what am i doing wrong?

First make sure they are on the right post. But, when they are new they can be a bear to get on.

The Beer Out disconnect is black and the Gas In is grey.

The Gas In post is grooved and the Beer Out is not.

Just make sure that you have them matched up properly.
