Get prepared to be jealous.

My in-laws are coming into town today with 250 pounds of beef for us. The in-laws are farmers and they raise corn-fed black angus - the kind of black angus only available to the finest steak-houses across the country.

Mmmmm.....my grill is salivating already.

Lucky bastard!

I'm supposed to be buying in on an angus, but I think I may be getting aced out of the deal. I've had a steak and a few pound of ground beef from the last one - awesome! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I was really nervous about opening this thread for some reason... let's just say I don't think googling "beefapalooza," especially at work, would be a very good idea. :D

yea, opening beefapalooza when it's cheesefood's thread...

Nice score!

Geeze. Good thing I didn't title it Meatonomy. You'd all the racing out to Google it, then you'd come back here p'd off at what you found. So for God's Sake, DO NOT google meatonomy.

I think you guys are confusing beefapalooza with "beef curtains". Big difference.

I hate you. (And no I haven't done it yet...)

You can usually find it along side articles on subincisions, and TRUST ME!!! DO NOT GOOGLE SUBINCISION!! Especially don't search for images. You don't want to see that kind of filth. It's horrible...horrible I tells ya. So stay away from those two topics and you'll live a happy life.

Stuff like that should be banned from the internet. Just like that video of that poor Japanese girl and all those eels.

Ok, now that I've been totally sickened having somehow found a flipping video of self-meatotomy...ahh hell....

CHEESEFOOD!!!! Bad dood - No beer!

Not my fault that you don't follow directions, or that you watched it all the way through when it was evident what was going to happen.

Or do you mean meat curtain, I have always been partial to the meat curtain! ;)

As for the cow, I swore off the other red meat after college in 1990. Colon cancer runs in my family and I sure as heck don't want to end up wearing a colostomy bag.

I simply scrolled further down and avoided even looking at the words, let alone google them - Cheesefood doesn't pull punches! However the term 'beef curtains' is one that I'm aware of and if Pumbaa doesn't come along and ruin that one for me I'll still have a happy life........ :D

The Golden Valley Brewery has Angus beef, raised on spent grain, trub and grass. Fine stuff. Damn shame Greg does such wonderful things with seafood that I rarely have the beef.

I'm a 'non meat' eater for a mixture of reasons too.
Cheesefood, 250lb of beef seems a lot of meat for 2ish (ish being the 'wee bairn' of course). I assume you'll feed a lot of friends happily along the way!!!!:D

Thoroughly following your instructions on ignoring the side thread that got started here Cheese...

So back to the meat... :D

You have room for all that in the freezer? Because if you don't I'll certainly throw out some of SWMBO's seafood in mine to accomodate it...

You don't want that back do you? :p

Lucky Cheese you....

I hear ya man....my dad runs about 300 head of stock cattle, and feeds out the calves. Earlier this summer he gave me a side of beef. And of course, when he picks out a steer he picks the best one of the herd.

Mmmmmm.....free T-Bones.....

We got about 12 each of ribeyes, sirloins and t-bones, plus a couple of roasts and about 30-50 pounds of hamburger. Meatloaf, anyone?

The really frightening thing is that one of the following is likely true:

(1) you had this picture on your harddrive
(2) you went looking for this picture on the internet
(3) you ARE one of those guys

Thank goodness my fears were unfounded. When I first saw "Beefapalooza" I fully expected to see things like this:
