My in-laws are coming into town today with 250 pounds of beef for us. The in-laws are farmers and they raise corn-fed black angus - the kind of black angus only available to the finest steak-houses across the country.

I'm supposed to be buying in on an angus, but I think I may be getting aced out of the deal. I've had a steak and a few pound of ground beef from the last one - awesome! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

You can usually find it along side articles on subincisions, and TRUST ME!!! DO NOT GOOGLE SUBINCISION!! Especially don't search for images. You don't want to see that kind of filth. It's horrible...horrible I tells ya. So stay away from those two topics and you'll live a happy life.

The Golden Valley Brewery has Angus beef, raised on spent grain, trub and grass. Fine stuff. Damn shame Greg does such wonderful things with seafood that I rarely have the beef.

I'm a 'non meat' eater for a mixture of reasons too.
Cheesefood, 250lb of beef seems a lot of meat for 2ish (ish being the 'wee bairn' of course). I assume you'll feed a lot of friends happily along the way!!!!

I hear ya man....my dad runs about 300 head of stock cattle, and feeds out the calves. Earlier this summer he gave me a side of beef. And of course, when he picks out a steer he picks the best one of the herd.
