Hi all,

Hope everyone’s June is off to a nice start and summer brews are getting ready.

First time using BE-134 - are yeast rafts left over after any sign of fermentation has ceased normal? My airlock has been stagnant for two days now, and I’m at my expected FG, but I’ve never seen yeast rafts stay around like this. Is it possibly an infection? I have two pictures and in the second one you can see a small bit of black on one of the rafts. Hoping it’s not a bug. Planning on bottling tomorrow, unless I get feedback not to.

Some yeasts can have rafts that take forever to drop out. Looking on their website, it does state that BE-134 has a slow yeast sedimentation time, meaning it can take time to drop out. You can always rack from under the rafts or give the fermenter a gentle swirl to try to force them to drop.
