Has anyone used a bazooka in a HERMS system with success? Thinking of using my current boil pot which has the bazooka as my mash tun but not sure how it will hold up to a recirc. mash. Worried about the surface area and getting stuck sparges or channeling. Anyone have an opinion?

Hey, have you had any luck with this setup? I am considering the same thing, using the bazooka screen for a recirculation mash but have my doubts as well

My experience with braids is that they flow very well if the crush is not too fine. As far as channeling, you could just give a good stir at the end of the mash to help rinse any channeled grain.

How would you plan to sparge? Batch or fly? FB better for fly sparging so they say.
