Hello all,

Has anyone converted a Bayou Classic or similar outdoor burner to NG? I have access to NG via my BBQ grill and it would be great to use NG for my brewing as well.

:mug:

I have this burner and just converted it to burn natural gas last week. I ended up drilling out the orifice to 5/32". This seems to be larger than normal, but I have around 60' of 3/4 black pipe to get to my brewing area. I then reduce to 1/2" utility hose. (I know, shame on me for not spending hundreds of dollars on the expensive natural gas line.) I used it for one brew already and was extremely happy with the results. It definitely heated faster than when using LP.

Nice, I think I am gonna have to give that one a shot. I actually found some NG burners online, but I refuse to pay what they want for them.
