Just got home 10 mins ago. Maybe they re-stocked? These were the last two HM bottles tho. Couple Bernice still sitting.

Huh... I'm guessing this was Berkeley Bowl West? I went to the Oregon street location. If not, I guess they could have restocked. Or I'm just not very observant. Can't be mad, though, I've been looking to try Bernice for a while.

Generally speaking if someone mentioned Berkeley Bowl and beer, they're talking West. East's selection is whatever, afaik everything interesting goes to West.

This is mostly true, though once upon a Time BB east had a few cases of 3F golden blend on the shelf for (relatively) cheap and with no limits. They lasted months. It was my weekly go-to while I was working in the area.

Ya'll mother fuckers were not kidding about Berkeley Bowl. Besides the multiple one way streets to get there and the store resembling a museum of modern art from the outside, the shelf turd selection was the best in the entire Bay.

Go find another one of tosh East Bay honey holes for your turds plz...

It's the best market in the state.

AJ's in Soquel is a close second.

You were within spitting distance of a few other great spots as well. If you're REALLY looking for shelf turds stop by ledgers. They have a bottle museum with bottles sitting there at least a couple yrs, all under florscent lighting and all the natural sunlight one could hope for. Really turns those 3-5 yr old Fantomes into something special.

Wife and I are going to Bartlett Hall after work to check out three new hoppy ones Nick is putting on today. He's looking for critical feedback. I encourage you guys to swing by while the **** super fresh and share your thoughts here. He pushes himself very hard and would apprecciate things being dissected, but feels like only his friends are giving him feedback and that feedback is ridiculously biased. And yeah, $5 pints during happy hour.

Buy my EP and I'll buy you a beer tonight. Cheers, guys.
