Apparently nobody else has yet been subjected to the overpriced and terrible brewery that is Armstrong. $7 for 12 oz of beer that tastes like they’re finally getting the hang of the whole partial-extract homebrew thing.

The last time I went there, they were pouring 3 of their beers and everything else was guest taps. Like, what? They were open for over a year at that point IIRC. Not sure if 47 Hills is any better, but hope to stop there during the next train delay.

It is better. Significantly.

Which isn't saying much.

47 Hills is solid! Large place. Only like 5-6 beers on tap. But nothimg bad. Some pretty good for a newer place. They got a stack of barrels filled with.....know idea. But its dope they have something going.

They even have a few guests ciders for folks not into beer.

Plus......they have truffle fries!!!

No mention of Beach Chalet yet? Walking in there is like taking a step back in time when Playland at the Beach & the Sutro Baths were in biz... all the styles of the rainbow: Blondes, Reds, Browns, Ambers, Goldens, Whites, etc.
Pretty racist analysis of their customer base IMO

Any good SF Beer Week events this year? Baby will limit me this year. Was hoping to go to a ticked Rare Barrel event as they've had good ones in years past, but the only one this year is $175(!!!).

I've been keeping an eye out as well. Rare Barrel events in the past have been zoos so I'll be avoiding like the plague, esp the bruery one. I'll prob hit up any BR/Torpedo Room event that looks tasty.

Albany Taproom usually does a BA night that I'll check out as well.

I'm gonna do the usual Bistro DIPA fest and Sour Sunday. Might get into town Friday night if the Moonraker/Fieldwork can releases are on point and the ol' lady can get away.

Trying to figure out the best Saturday night event between Hayward and Berkeley. Rare Barrel/Torpedo room usually the most convenient since we usually stay in Berkeley.

Seems like no Torpedo Room events yet?

I avoid beer week like an ex girlfriend but I might just have to drag my ass out there pal. Watch out for me, fubu... head to toe.

Saw a BOTTLE of Mosaic Psuedo Sue on shelf at a local spot... thought only cans were getting distributed? Stuff brewed "not at TG". Will the bottle actually be the good Psuedo? The cans we have gotten in CA have mostly been uneventful, but I've never had it from a bottle.

yes they are delicious! Pricey, but delish. Brewed in IA.

Did not like the cans at all, loved the bottle! Dunno what happened but they taste like two totally different beers.
