unless you’re my wife and you wake up screaming
Or you wake up five minutes before it happened for some reason.

I slept through the last biggish one a few years ago (until the wife woke me up). This one definitely woke me up. A lot shorter, but a lot more violent. Four month old slept through it but decided to get really restless as I was finally going back to sleep. I'm really tired today.

Yep, happened with me. Woke up and took a piss, layed in bed, heard things in my room shaking while laying down. This was all the way in Livermore, so that quake traveled.

My kid slept through it like a champion! I of course proceeded to have crazy dreams where people were stealing my patio furniture covers. Not the furniture itself, just the covers. Wtf brain?

Woke up to the huge rattle of bottles being tossed around in the other room. Lucky they were all secured really well.

Then went back to sleep and had a dream the new TOOL album was released, and they giving them away 2 per person as an apology for taking so long for it. I then stole a mortocycle and drove to the record store. Wierd. Maybe is a good omen?

your spot was shaking that much!? **** i should probably check my beer tonight than. if the boys are asleep than i'm dead asleep. none of us woke up.

Good shaking in RWC that woke the wife and I up (but not the dog or baby). Nothing rattling or falling though. Wasn't the biggest earthquake, but seemed to travel around the bay.

Weird question, anyone want a dwarf maple tree? We'd rather have something fruiting so are digging out this tree, it's ~15' tall and according to me neighbor who helped plant it, shouldn't get much taller. I'll be digging it out next Saturday so lmk if you want it, I'll be putting it up for free on craigslist otherwise.

Im interested. Do you have a photo of the tree?

Here it is from around Thanksgiving, right as the leaves were changing color:

I probably have some other pics of it in the background or whatever, and could get one now of it dormant, but that's the only pic I intentionally took of it.

Some of those sound pretty fun, but ******* I bet they'll be shitshows.

Also, I bought an early entry ticket to the opening gala, heard it's actually been pretty fun recently (when I went in 2012 it was a horrible clusterfuck so I swore it off). Anyone else going?

I went 5 years in a row, and it was a cluster **** for 5 years, but damn did I love it. All you can drink local beer and some decent food pairings, for $70 or less? Done! Plus, once they got those bathroom issues sorted out, it was awesome.

Last time I went it was at Fort Mason and was rainy as hell. Packed, but some solid beers. I guess now it's at Pier 35 which should have more room, but it is a bit more expensive.

Yeah I meant the bathroom issues. That was so ******* stupid the year I went. You think 5 toilets for like a few hundred people at a ******* BEER FEST is enough? The piss line shouldn't be longer than the Younger line.

But yeah, if I can actually pee then it seems like a good time.

I remember going into that one bathroom and splitting it with 2 other guys at the same time. One peed in the toilet, one in the sink, and I peed in the floor drain. We were on beer.

That was like 2012? There was one year that was stupid but years after we’re fine. They had portos outside. Last year I went was 2014 and my general take is go with a good group and you’ll have a good time.

RIP relatively under the radar Younger trappings at Toronado. Oh well, I’m pretty well over it anyway. Some of those other events probably won’t be too crazy. The stuff leading up to T30 that we hit were busy but not insane.

They'll usually have it for at least a week after Beer Week, tapping two kegs a day. Go in early and there's usually no wait.

At Toronado? Hmm, I've always had a soft spot for that place, maybe I'll try to get over there. It's just such a PITA and I can't really just ghost on my wife all week.

Ya, the non-younger week night events last year werent too crazy. I was able to snag a table or a spot at the bar without much effort quite a few times. I even grabbed a table in the back on the sunday abraxas/pty tapping which was odd but enjoyable.
