I looked at the list and the prices and it's kinda "meh". The LPK vertical is basically the only thing I saw that's intriguing and it's not worth going into the city for. I always wonder how these places choose the things they age, it seems completely scattershot.

Also, I didn't realize that Monk's and the Trappist opened at about the same time, interesting coincidence.

I mulled this one over for a while but decided against it. Mostly because I didnt want to wake up at 4am to stand on 16th street for hours. Anyone there now? I may swing by if its not the shitshow I imagine it would be.

I caved and went. was able to walk in and sit at the bar ~2pm, 08 gueuze bottle pours and 14 cuvée st gilloise draft remain.

I attended and enjoyed it. It was amazing to drink and buy to-go bottles of vintage Cantillon for the price of what Monks normally charges for Cascade or Logsdon.

This is a big surprise to me, and the biggest reason why I didn't even bother. Their pricing is absurd normally (which is why I don't usually go there), so it's hard to believe it wasn't exorbitant for the event.

Glad it turned out well for those in attendance!

ha im looking at those too, any one know if blue berry white worth the price tag??

Can’t convince myself $85 is worth it for a bottle of bwhite. It was less than $85 but more than $70 when I saw it last year in an AZ store, so it’s definitely a pricey mead, but $85 on a small bottle I’ll finish in a night or two...meh.

Last min, but for all the nerds out there....

Looking to offload 2 tix for tonight's 630pm Last Jedi at the Kabuki. Tix are in the balcony. $35 for the pair.

The Kabuki still has a bar, but I hear it pretty weak now. But the seats are prefect with tables to bring in your own with no issue. They've even given me empty pint glasses in the past.

Give me a shout if interested.

Anyone checked out IBU in Milpitas? A little pricey at $8-$12 for pours, but great setup and bottle list.
