No one mentioned Rabbit Foot's Meadery in Sunnyvale. The meads are alright but the ciders are tasty.

Their ciders are sugar bombs. A mix of some boring base sweet cider and fruity syrup.

Hard pass.

I haven't had Tilted Shed, but most of the ciders in California are pretty weak compared to the PNW options.

Right now K&L gives you a 90 day window to pick up stuff bought online.
Right, but 90 days is the max, which isn't what we're discussing. I don't know how long it takes to ship from one location to the other. box_social is coming down from Portland next week - should be enough time but no promises I suspect.

Alvarado cans tend to be instasellouts when they drop. Blame the HazeBroz.

But this week they have a non hazey beer, a collab with Peter Hoey. Won't sell out because its not a hazel beer. But Will be delicious because Hoey had a hand in it. Keep an eye out for that one.
RIP Odonata.

three questions:

1 - what's the deal with Alvarado Street? is it possible to get draft stuff or cans in the area without going to the brewery in Monterey? if not, is it possible to reasonably trade for a small assortment or is this walezbro kinda stuff?

2 - has anyone seen the Stone NOFX beer around? I checked K&L's site since I'm already planning on making a stop and they only show up in Hollywood.

3 - any local cider recs? Ryan_G tipped me off on one but I'm not too familiar with CA ciders. I know Sebastopol is supposed to have good apple production but I'm relatively clueless on what's coming out of the area that isn't mass-produced.

and thanks for all the recs and info so far, you guys are beyond helpful!
At Toronado now. They just put on the chalkboard that they have cans of Mai Tai, Minesweeper, and Monterey Common Lagaer.

nice! hoping for some options next week, plus BrandoSF offered to grab me some from tomorrow's release. if anyone has a couple recent cans of whatever from Fieldworks, Monkish, etc and wants to make a swap for some Portland stuff, drop me a line. not looking for a ton of stuff, just a little variety to crush at the beach and lake on the rest of my trip and maybe a few to bring home.

Everything dropped early. Currently at The T and all cans are still available.

Mission Trail has great cider and other fermented fruit juices (plum is called jerkumonstead of cider) that I think they have a K&L.

Nice. Not a big move, closer to transit lines, and now with real food! Fully expect it to be overly priced, but so are most things in the city.

No complaints.
