Oooooohhhh, excellent call. No one knows about that spot. Did they (you?) improve the beer selection there? Never knew they served craft beer.

I really need to start an SF Burger Thread on TB.

Who needs a separate thread? Throw out some suggestions right here!

- Super Duper Burgers

- Mission Bowling Club (I was near blackout but I had the burger years ago and still remember it to this day as being pretty incredible)

- Wesburger

I haven't had the Impossible Burger yet but I hear great things. I also heard the new Almanac has an awesome burger. And, of course, In-N-Out.

Beer selection is great there now. They always have 5 or 6 Fieldworks on tap. 30 taps total? Their fieldwork sometimes gets tapped before it goes on at the brewery.

Anyone know where I can find bottles of broc cellars or donkey & goat in berkeley? I'm going to be in the area tonight but won't make it in time for the tasting room hours.

Spruce when you want to ball out at the bar

Roam for an affordable but awesome burger

Second Roam Burger. Some more comments:

- Kronneburger has jumped the shark.
- Wesburger is oversalted and overspiced. It is pretty obvious to me that Wes is a smoker. Still takes some of the best food photos I have ever seen.
- The Impossible Burger tastes like unsweetened peanut butter (but it looks and feels/texture just like a burger should).
- The best burger used to be at Slow Club before they sold/closed.
- Shameless plug for the Carl's Jr Boneless BBQ Rib Burger.
- I also like Habit burger as far as chains go.
- Spruce is pretty good but you can find better at that price.
- Best burger in SF now is probably Serpentine.
- Cockscombs "Ham" burger is the best non-beef burger around. Still need to try that Tom's Belly Burger I hear advertised on Giants games.
- Burger at Broken Record is pretty great...and the whiskey is amazing too (and good ol RickyBobby had a great bacon/cheese burger before they closed)

More commentary to follow on this subject.

Trueburger in Oakland. It's like an In-N-Out burger but with all local, organic, etc... beef and ingredients. F'ing perfect imho.

I used to cook about 40-50 a night at serpentine. Still get one every time I go back.

Burger dog from Hot Dog Bills at the turn on the Olympic Club Lake Course.

Tavern Burger from Wayfare Tavern.

For a good off the radar place I like Bullshead in West Portal. Old school place with good beef and bison burgers.

It's not the most amazing burger ever, but I've had a number of burgers from Box Kitchen on my way to or from Cellarmaker. They eat pretty good.

Will second Trueburger in Oakland. Clove & Hoof is excellent. I also like Plum Bar's burger...goes great with a $15 cocktail.

Heading to Santa Cruz for the first time in forever. (I wasn't even 21 the last time I was there)

I know the obvious spots, (SARA and I'm heading to Monterey one day for the Aquarium and Alvarado St) any others I should consider checking out? Has to be kid friendly. Thanks!

Well, yes, I don't endorse that phrase, but that is what a lot of people say. Hell, I've even see "CRS" used around here. Some people have a hate-boner for them.

(Personally I think they're fine, just a bit childish. The thing where 50-50 switched off the family distributor so they dumped all their Eclipse stock (at shockingly reasonable prices!) and stopped carrying it was hilarious.)
Not to mention banning me from their instagram account where I called out their IPA bottles in the ******* window collecting rays during a nice sunny day.

Has there been any word on when Rate Beer Fest tickets go on sale this yr? I believe I already purchased them this time last yr. Website was unhelpful.

I've spoken with the owner of beercraft a couple of times regarding the RB fest. I believe they are trying to set it up this year (since they were the main sponser) with hopefully someone like RR and put on a similar festival. All of the logistics are there so hopefully they can put something on.

I am admittedly biased but I would add Lupulo (Downtown SC) to the list that others have already mentioned. I am somewhat perplexed why it doesn't get more love here on TB but I'm guessing many of you probably skip downtown all together.
