good to know - used to walk past and ignore that place when i worked in mid market.Beer Hall sometimes is good. Specifically, they get the best of what's coming out of the Central Valley (Track 7, Moonraker, New Glory, etc.) better than most.

City Beer Store is like a block from Cellarmaker, worth popping in to see if there's anything interesting on draft or cold bottles you might be interested in (most of their vintage bottles are priced in line with Toronado SD bottle pricing, but the prices for normal bottles are fine).Escaping the heat down in SoCal, and flying up to SF on Friday. Used to come up for SF Beer Week, but I haven't been up there for a few years, what do I need to hit?

Mikkeller (hotel is a block away)
Cellarmaker
Fieldwork
Rare Barrel
Pagan Idol / Smuggler's Cove / Tonga Room (wife and I love Tiki)
Any new beer / cocktail spots I've missed? Or any must-eats?
Thanks all.

City Beer will likely have the Alvarado St cans on thurs and might still be available early Friday. Solid Taco joint on 8th and Folsom near CBS and Cellarmaker.
Not sure about the hours but really close to SFO is 47 Hills brewing. New joint. Really solid beers and space.
Old Devil Moon is great but might be to far a hike for you.
I really liked the 47 Hills lager. Seek it out.We got a 5 gal of 47 Hill's IPA last week from one of our regulars thats a really good friend of the owner. Though he hyped up their lager and brought us an IPA which was okay. I got really stoked when I saw the keg cause our pils/lager game has been on point but w/e next time hopefully

That is actually on my list as well. I'm going to a wedding on Saturday in Alameda, going to see if we can stop by.As far as tiki goes, have you ever been to Forbidden Island in Alameda? That's Martin Cate's original bar before he sold it and opened Smuggler's Cove. It actually beat Smuggler's Cove on Critiki's Top 10 in the world last year. I haven't actually been but I've heard great things, and then you can check out Faction, which has the best bayside view of SF.
You're gonna get all ****** up at St. George's / Hangar One. Good stuff though, if you are into infused boozes at all. Next "door" to Faction. That is actually on my list as well. I'm going to a wedding on Saturday in Alameda, going to see if we can stop by.
Welcome to talkbeer!!!I'm visiting the Bay area over the 4th of July week. I'm looking forward to hitting up the normal great breweries and bars.
Was wondering if there are any bottle shops in the area where they would be able to ship back to my home state ( S. Carolina)?
Thanks

styrofoam shippers can't be sold in SF proper anymore apparently. or non-compostable stuff peanuts. Some shops will sell you a styrofoam shipper, slap a label and send it back

Been meaning to check them out since they're right down the street from my work. What's the food and beer to-go situation like?

I was there last weekend, and I was a little disappointed that they only had four of their beers on, and all of their guest beers were from Harmonic. The lager was good. The Mosaic IPA was ok but not something to go out of your way for. I agree that it's a nice space and parking is super easy.they have a tiny little kitchen with food. the times i've been there it's been closed tho. awesome place , spacious, plenty of tables and this on. watched some warriors there. i think the best part i the big parking lot in the back! they had a solid mosaic ipa when i stopped in. cool spot

Welcome to Talkbeer!Hey guys, posting here on advice from someone on the other beer website. I'll be road tripping through CA next month, and I thought I would take the opportunity to do some cellar cleaning. I'm planning to bring along some brewery only bottles from Wisconsin, a couple of which might qualify as whales. Highlights include New Glarus R&D series, Funk Factory sours, and Central Waters stouts. PM me for a more detailed list of options. Anyone who has similar bottles from the west coast up for a bottle share? I'll be in the bay area 7/19-7/21.
