I'm just a homie, homie.

Apparently, yes.
Also, I'm more than happy to call someone developmentally challenged, or mentally disabled. Never got the censoring of the specific R-word though. It's one of the few cases where it's not the word that conveys the context, but the specific meaning behind the word.

Was there a shitload of children when any of you were here (Temescal)? Of the 60+ ppl here, over a dozen are babies and toddlers. Kinda got a daycare vibe.

No disrespect to parents, just a little weird for a Fri Night.

Just left there like 10 minutes ago and yes, there were a ton of infants and toddlers. I don't generally care for kids so I'll say it: don't bring your kids to the bar.

I don't think I was saying that, but you still made me laugh (hence the like). But yeah, that **** was over the top. Seriously, the strollers kept rolling in the whole time I was there.

Guys, there's like about 6398274 "you should/shouldn't bring your kid/dog to the brewery/bar" threads over on BA if you gotta get it out of your system. For some reason this debate is about 2 degrees cooler than the 2A stuff going on over in the "toxic topics" thread. Lets not do 6 pages of this right now. Pretty please?

How were the beers? Seems most people only favor the porter.
I wanted to go on Wednesday after picking up Map of the Moon but they were closed :(

I know you weren't saying it. I am just an ass and I got my pot shot in, so I'm good.

The beers were good for the most part. I didn't retry Block Party, but I liked Way Fun, Works Like a Charm, Visitation, and Old Smuggler. Thought Totes was not very good.

Including the stuff I'd had before, they're definitely off to a good start. It's not typical that I try a bunch of beers from a (new) brewery and like 75% of them.

Was yours the chunky one pulling the makeshift car with washers and screws sticking out of it? :D

JK, the beers were promising albeit underwhelming. Of the hoppy ones, the IPA was most enjoyable. I showed up with and left with an empty growler, FWIW.

I brought my kid there. It's probably a timing thing, 5-7 is going to be kiddie time at a place that allows them, afterward they'll all be in bed. You'd be surprised how few beer places there are that you can bring kids to, a place like Temescal (ie rapidly gentrifying neighborhood) is going to be strollertown around 5:30.

I suppose that makes sense. Again, I am not saying you shouldnt take your kid to the bar, but I have never seen anything like this before. Just pretty jarring to get off work, hop on BART, get off at MacArthur, and walk right into that much baby action. I don't mind kids and almost none of them were individually distracting due to their behavior, but the whole lot of them was...well, a lot. It was like if every dog at faction was a baby. The way every stroller coming down Telegraph turned into the place seemed as if it were coordinated; or maybe someone posted the front page of their website that boasts "well-behaved children and dogs welcome" to some Temescal Parents Club FB page and everyone was like "let's go right now!"

Were you there tonight? Totally woulda bought you a beer for putting up with my Bernie **** on the other thread. Cheers!
