Looks like KRBC is coming to the Bay Area. From the City Beer Store email that just went out:

July 11-13 Mindful Distributors Launch...
Join us to welcome a new distribution company based in Oakland-Mindful Distributors. We will offer beers from their impressive portfolio on draft and in package, including: Kern River Brewing Company, Six Point Brewery, and more. Additional details on the way.....
I would love to see JO on the shelf, I remember that beer being awesome.

Stopped by Temescal yesterday at around 5pm (earlier than I had planned, but whatever). It was quite crowded, but I didn't wait longer than five minutes to place my order. They had a ton of people taking orders, including growler orders, so I was impressed with how well things moved along. By 6pm, the place had cleared out substantially.

Highlights were the porter as others had mentioned. Nice rich flavor without being too heavy and a clean finish. The Block Party Pale was better than the Totes Pale I also tried. Totes had some of that dank hoppiness, but had a weird, kimchee like backbone that I wasn't keen on.

I stopped by on Saturday, nice big space. The beers were all fine, but nothing too inspired. Highlights for me were the porter, pils and pale. I probably would have got a growler had the prices been a little more reasonable. $24ish is a bit steep, we aren't on Double Dobis level here.

I had the opposite experience with trying to get served, it was like all the employees were maple syrup barrel aged, sooooooooo sllooooooowwwwww.

That being said, I'll be back for the popcorn, sunshine, and a pint. For now, I'll pass on getting growler fills.

That's a ridiculously insane price for a growler. Screw that.

Wait, $24 for a fill, or for glass, or both?

Just the fill...may have been $22 or $23. This was for the IPA and the Porter or Saison? I think the pale and the Pils were like $19ish?

Sorry, don't remember exactly, just that it was much higher than I was willing to pay.

Was just down at Highland Park Brewery this weekend and they were charging $22 for a fill of One Up (IIPA) which I thought was fairly pricey.

Good! Haven't been there in a long time. Usually hit B Star or Yamo.

Mandalay Mango Chicken Manadalay special noodles and tea leaf salad hmnmghhhh
Mandalay special noodle is the truth.
Indeed! I prefer Burma, but only slightly. Mandalay is a shorter wait, & better value though.
I hit Burma Supa a couple weeks ago and it was as good as I remembered. My only regret is not meeting up with buzzword when my sister and I were in his hood because we had to go line up like chumps waiting for TreeHouse cans.

Tea Leaf salad was still fire.

quick ?... anyone know what an Uber from SF to SARA would run? Any good places near SARA to stay for a night?
