Brasserie St James in Reno has some excellent (albeit pricey) sours...

It was legit. Excited to crack my grand cru bottle.

If anyone in the Brentwood area is looking for some BCBS, the Safeway on Balfour has it out now for 9.99 ($9 each if you buy 6) Saturday they might be getting another 10 cases

Almost went to the willows.

City beer store was legit, so was Basil Thai across the street.
Scored a few Pliny's, ****** shelf turds.

Basil is the dogs bollocks. They have this steak thing with some sort of mushroom topping... So far from typical Thai Farr but soooo good.

Ended up extended the Bay Area trip, realizing how spread out things are... And how awesome this area is!
SARA tomorrow. Happy to see three bottles listed. Excited to finally get down on their beer!

Also... That drive in was ******* crazy. Did NOT expect that! White-washed from gusts of snow. Icy as balls. Took us 8-9 hours to get from Reno to San Fransisco. LOL good adventures.
Had to buy chains... I have never been stopped and turned around because I didn't have chains! Now I have them for emergency, that's legit.

Sucks, we went the other way and the roads were clear yesterday. Currently in South Tahoe and hoping the roads stay clear on the way home.

I think a lot of people got scared off - it's pretty dead here!

I just don't see how that can ever be worth it (guy in front). Any idea if they sold anything other than this year's variants to the first people in line?

Did you get a rare? Seems like you were right around the cutoff. I got there around 6 20 and got the second to last regal, and coffee ran out a minute later

South san jose is pretty barren, went chasing and ended up with 3 regular: cask n flask, bevmo blossom hill and a neighborhood grocery had them 1 per, $12 each.

Good Karma and Original Gravity in downtown San Jose both have good eats and beer. Then of course there's Sante Adarius, where I'd go on the weekends.

Yeah, all of those are in my rotation. In downtown SJ, when something interesting is on tap in O'Flaherty's I'll stop by there as well. Some people like In Search Of Beers in the same area; I've yet to try it but I might at some point.

I generally combine a trip to Sante with a stop at Aptos BBQ.

Sante was great. Those stouts, just a bit tart, to the point where they are amazingly drinkable. From over the hill, and love's armor are good. That Zuur cafe #4 being a little more sour, with those vanilla coffee yum yums , was AMAZING.
The simpleton is super delicious, balanced dank floral hops... The dog's disco was a little bitter for my personal preference but was still a beautiful beer. Saison Bernice is solid, I wish it was a little more tart, however I only got a tiny taste of it and grabbed bottles. I wanted to drink what I couldn't get bottles of. What I did taste almost had a candy like quality to it. I am excited to try it out of the bottle.
On the drive back to Reno now.

Oh yeah. Thanks so much again everybody, your suggestions really helped!
Didn't get to hit everything (rare barrel, RR) but that's a good excuse to come back.✌
