I wanted to be here just to get an eagle rare store pick at discountsomeone brought their grandmule to the healthy spirits sale.
Anyone at Cellarmaker right now?
And I didn't even see this. Nice chatting with you and meeting Brad (some form of wino iirc).
Huh, the guy told me on Friday that he was down to his last case. Either he was wrong or they had more. For those that missed out on BCBS, Berkeley Safeway has them, no limit. Buy 6, get them for $9 each deal with club card.
Oh could be, I just saw at least 8 on the shelf there this morning. I didn't really look behind or search though. Just passing through and figured I'd share.Huh, the guy told me on Friday that he was down to his last case. Either he was wrong or they had more.
Yeah Safeways are the best places to look, because it gets SO CHEAP. With tax it came to <$10/bottle, cheaper per ounce than it was last year. Madness.Oh could be, I just saw at least 8 on the shelf there this morning. I didn't really look behind or search though. Just passing through and figured I'd share.
So, Peche 'n' Brett was on K&L for all of a minute before it sold out. Crazy.
That beer is good but now that west Ashley releases go for 2days with 3 bottle limits at a cheaper price, small loss. So, Peche 'n' Brett was on K&L for all of a minute before it sold out. Crazy.
VERY very different beers. Love them both, for different reasons. Still bummed PnB has gotten so hard to get. That beer is good but now that west Ashley releases go for 2days with 3 bottle limits at a cheaper price, small loss.
I was at K&L today picking up my '15 Fou (score!) when Jim Boyce's email came out. Tried to pick up a PnB but already gone - apparently they had some on the shelves earlier in the day before his email. So, Peche 'n' Brett was on K&L for all of a minute before it sold out. Crazy.
I even set up push notifications on my phone for a chance to get one of K&L's Thanksgiving beers... but I woke up at noon on the day the Fou e-mail came out. Sigh! At least I got a Peche (hopefully).
Judging by how quickly Anniversary XIX, Nelson, and Peche sold out, I'm guessing the limited releases are going to be impossible to buy in the future unless you literally respond within a few seconds. (Though Nelson showed up unannounced on the site a few days later and stayed there for a bit.)
FW XIX is all over the place here in SF, in case people are looking...
Whole Foods on 4th has some. Saw it there today.Everywhere except the places I look.
FWIW, my local Whole Foods has started keeping some limited releases in the back. XIX was only available to those who asked.
Good to know Firestone is a broken record on this. I saw a ****-ton of XIX in Portland, but haven't seen a single bottle here.
Anyone tried it? I've had all the anniversaries so far, so I feel odd breaking a tradition, but I'm not going to chase it unless it's amazing.
I've seen it on the selves of several Bevmos and WF's in SF and the Peninsula. Can pick you up one if you like.Good to know Firestone is a broken record on this. I saw a ****-ton of XIX in Portland, but haven't seen a single bottle here.

That Bbq gaff was always a mistake IMO. Just hope the original place survives whatever is upcoming.Bummer.......

I can see why this happened, but dudes are pretty cool, and I hope they hang in there in the long run.
