I thought I was done with Younger but the way they're managing the line is making it easier for locals.
I couldn't make it back to BeerCraft on Tues night for Cellarmaker so I went to RR at 8:30 pm and there was a short wait.
By 10 pm, there was no line and I heard that it hasn't been kicking each night.
They are only letting in enough people so that everyone can get a seat and the aisles aren't clogged.
Closer to the time that I went, they are letting in more people and it becomes like the normal bar.

I drove by RR at 11am and line was wrapped around corner. Proceeded to BC and was happier than ever.
Only needing bottles for bifs and regs thinking I would possibly grab a few pints while there...No luck. Apparently late evening has been the time to go.

Looking forward to next week once the madness fades. Buzzword you back in town yet?

here for a couple weeks then off and running again. trying to avoid most of the SF-based beer week shenanigans.

I have been told by a few people late evening is by far the best time to go.

just went. showed up solo ~8pm, got seated at the bar well before 9, had a great meal and convo with the dude next to me, got one pour of Younger and a pint of Parking Violation. both were great. Drove home, now I'm in bed. Who cares?!

Id call you a seasoned vet......OG...

Wasn't there a fight there last year during Younger? Something about that elixir that riles up the blood.

There is a youtube video of it.

This one from yesterday sounds like a cooler fight though. A bunch of trashy drunk chicks jumping the security guy. I feel bad that he lost his sunglasses, I hope RR hooks him up.

Cool. With my buddy falling through, I'm looking to dome some CC in that dank joint at 11:30am in a corner by myself.
Ended having a nice time at Toronado on Sunday. Got a seat at the bar next to some guys drinking a 13 Cable Car (the only vintage left) and we traded pours between the 14 that I got and their 13. 13 seemed to have a bit more funk. Perhaps the brett developed more over the last year, but both were excellent. Talked to some of the bartenders who said that the plan was for Cable Car to last the whole year (to explain the in house only policy). They still had like 47 taps leftover from the Barleywine Fest which was more or less still going on since one guy fell off his stool before 12:30.

There are times when Toronado is a really solid experience. This was one of them.

How much are you guys paying for Cable Car? $60? Toro SD should have some in this week so I was wondering what a good gauge for price would be.

I got a text of a similar picture at 4PM local time Sunday from my buddy from NW Indiana who was at Toronado sipping on some Cable Car, so it might have been him that you shared with. Nicely done!

Gotcha, thanks. All things considered, that's a decent price.

Any of you guys know what the deal is with this release? http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1256664

I'd never heard of the Libertine til now, but with pickups in SF and SD, it's an intriguing blind buy.
$60 is A LOT, but for something I'll have once a year, yeah I don't sweat it too much. It was $60 last year, but that was with being able to take them to go.

I shared it with a guy named Ian from SF and Jeff who as visiting from New York.

But it uses Morro Bay sea water and rocks from Morro rock!

...

I might actually know one of the people involved in this to some degree. Can't remember if this is the name that was chosen.

Yeah I'm reading some reviews and most of them are saying that Summer Breeze is incredibly sour, which is making me wary.
it def caused the jaw to tingle lol. i will admit, it had the flavor. although the white chocolate one was lacking th particular flavor to me. could be my taste buds were d3stroyed by the sour.

On a level of Tomes to Mother Funker, how sour are we talking?
