That's awesome. I had heard that BA sump was going to be at Trappist, but I didn't know that Abraxas was showing up around here, too. Perhaps it'll be back in the future!

The BA Sump at Trappist was pretty tasty, to be sure - but I think I was more gobsmacked by the keg of DDC Solstice d'Eté Framboise that I saw on the list. Had no idea that stuff was showing up stateside - awesomeness.

Sadly yes.
Du Ble - $48
Blueberry - $47
Savant Blanc - $40 something, at this point I had made it through $ity Beer and Cellar Maker and had no business handing over my credit card.
And, just to make sure I'm following... those were all 375s, yes?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

And for those playing along at home, the BA Sump keg is still on. I'll check to make sure it's still delicious after this framboise warm-up.

Four bottles? Brutal.

When I went last year it sold out as I was in line. **** this daily allotment. Not even gonna bother going. Too much hassle to drive 4 hours rd trip for the possibility of being shut out. At least Beat we had no daily allotment

seems like they actually want a line around the block.

How do you figure? Doing a daily allotment prevents that since people can go on whatever day is convenient for them instead of all having to go today.
I think they wanna spread it out for sure but I don't think it'll prevent a line around the block. Last year I showed up on Friday the 4th around 9-10am thinking since it had been a few days so it'll be easy. There was a line and I got shut out. I think it won't be as bad this year but I still don't understand why they don't just go the BPT route or something for their releases.

exactly what I'm thinking...wait, seriously?...people are actually in line? at 8 am? no beer is worth waiting in line for. Or perhaps I'm just too impatient. I think 30 minutes is my max I could handle in a beer line.
I think I waited in line four or five hours for Beat this last year, so I wasn't judging that. I just seems nonsensical to wait in line today as if there is any advantage to going today over any other day. Of course, I am assuming that there will not be any lines on any other days which is quite possibly fallacious.

And of course, there didn't end up being an advantage to going the first day for the Beat release last year, but I was worried they would limit sales from 1 case to 6 bottles after the first day, similar to FFAC last year.
