What was the deal with the FFAC release? Is it the first of October and usually available for about a week?

is it true that they release a case for the 1st two days or so?
It's not true that they do anything. The method of the FfaC release has varied wildly. The first one I was around for (2011) was 2 bottles/person/day until it ran out, but then they didn't sell it all and had to send some out to distro. I didn't go to the ones in 2012 or 2013, but IIRC in 2012 they did something like a case per person and it sold out really quickly, I think that day, and that was that. Last year they started at a case per person then cut it down to 6 bottles, and it took a few days to sell out.

They haven't said what they're doing yet, but smart money is on the limit being pretty high and it selling out fairly fast. Will that mean it's gone on 10/1? Probably not. But predictions are hard, especially about the future, and doubly especially about whatever-the-**** RR is going to do.

Put that Fraboise at 2 bottles a person and get more people in over the month to get bottles and drink it on tap instead of just one ******* rush on the weekend. Missed out on bottles last year, but still went to try it on tap. Didn't even bother with beat batch 6 because they insisted everybody needed a full case of it.

Makes sense since they don't make anything off Framboise itself

This is too stress free. They love the **** show even though they'll say they're always surprised by it and amazed that people would wait in line for hours for their product.

Actually, it was a case until they ran through 70 cases or so, then when they returned from the warehouse with another round, it went down to 6 bottles.
Yeah this. ^^^ I drove up on a "kind of very long" lunch break the first day and had to wait for Natalie to get back with more bottles.

After the first day they also only allocated a certain number of cases a day IIRC.

Hopefully they have more on site and ready to sell this year like they did for the Beat release.

Because the Beat release was spectacularly well run.

Other than the ridonkulous line which is going to happen regardless for Beat, what other complaints do you have? We had cases delivered to our table, got to drink lots of Beat on tap while having lunch. What else did you want?

He might not have complaints, but rrryanc and I have several. Notably that Natalie directed anyone who just wanted bottles to switch lines, a decision that cost me at least 3 hours. Because the guy at the door didn't know to let in the bottles only line at all. So it didn't move.

I mean, that's like saying "Other than getting food poisoning I thought that meal was pretty good." RR sucks balls at the logistics of their releases and they have for quite a while. Maybe FfaC it won't matter because it'll be a Wednesday and people generally care less about it than they do Beat, but if I were planning on going I wouldn't be sanguine.

You would think they could utilize the back entrance for bottle buyers only. That way, the fron doesn;t get so jam packed. The organization there is terrible on regular days. I have seen empty tables that had reserved signs stay empty for hours.

Instead of one POS for bottles, where you decide to have a full blown conversation with everyone and take your sweet time.

RR, here is an easy fix. You can even sell Blind Pig embroidered ties:

Shaun Hill said that they take a 100% service charge on every transaction, though!

I was sitting right by the guy at the door for most of the afternoon and he was letting people in just fine, it was the single register inside that was the real bottleneck on those transactions. I agree that they should figure out a better way to do things, but clearly they just don't care enough to bother.

That or they do it on purpose because they know it forces people to be stuck there and buy more beer hahahah.
