My friends went over, they said it was the best organized release yet from Rare Barrel. Gotta like that they are making improvements on releases whereas a lot of other breweries are having their releases get worse. Hunahpus.

Yeah it was very organized. From the wrist bands to limiting entry to about 20 people at a time. It allowed for limited lines inside which was great.

I think Rare Barrel and SARA are doing the best releases right now. Either be like Rare Barrel and be prepared with an easy wristband system if you're gonna announce the release, or simply do what SARA does and don't announce any releases, just release a **** ton of amazing bottles all the time without warning.

The SARA was great. Didn't get to take a bottle of Cherry Cask home, but drank one there, and was able to grab one of the other to go this weekend. I didn't even know they were having a release until Johnny hit me up that morning, and I had already made plans to visit the brewery for the first time. Big win.

Heh, I had already planned to go to SARA that day (visiting from SD) and the bottle release was a nice surprise.

Also, I went to Rare Barrel around 8pm and they were still selling bottles of Proportional. Mellow crowd, which was nice, and got to talk to Alex for a bit.

Get some good stuff Sage from SARA?

I honestly don't get distribution line or have interest them being explained to me. They are fuckng stupid, I will live with that

Like the Chicago guys letting us know if this years Parabola was any good.

Hopefully it is like the welcoming, clean SF one and not the San Diego version ;)

Ya, too many people that arent rich. Cause only poor people take the public transit, which SF is all about. So there are poor people errywhurr.

I hate the inadequate freeway system, old dumpy buildings, rude people, massive amounts of people per square mile, Los Angeles level traffic, tiny amount of breweries.......actually. San Diego is just a nicer town ;)

A pedestrian stepped into a crosswalk and I stopped. ..you know...courtesy and the law and all........world war 3 of ******** honking and speeding around me as a result. Never happens where I live....San Diego is just a small town in comparison. Wife was born and raised in SF. I kept her in SD after college. She does not like SF anymore! Quote... ' so claustrophobic'

Yeah. Parkside right now. Mother in law lives here in Sunset on 29th. Mellow here at least but nothing to do.
sunset:

• Riptide - divey surf bar

• pizza place on Noriega - decent pizza + beer

• Outerlands - my favorite restaurant in SF, has been since 2009

• trouble coffee - good espresso, cinnamon toast

I'll think of more maybe. who cares.

Outerlands just re-opened! So excited.

I'm really surprised that Arbi hasn't brought @thuthain onto these posts.

You going to be at SARA tomorrow?
Nope. Can't make it and hard to justify 3 weekends involving beer fests/heavy drinking this month given Portland earlier this month and FWIBF next week. Thuthain is in Napa isn't he? I'm so desperate for a tasting group I was almost gonna invite him to stay at our house for FWIBF when I saw his post on BA. Then I came to my senses

Don't do it.
