In not very shocking news, Warped Brewing is already gone from the Barlow in Sebastopol.
Not shocking because they aren't good or what? Never heard of them, personally but looks like they are moving to San Carlos. In not very shocking news, Warped Brewing is already gone from the Barlow in Sebastopol.
well Rare Barrel is only opened fri-sund. Sante is closed on Mondays. I do believe CM is as well but I could be wrong on that one.I'm thinking about a somewhat impromptu Bay-area trip in early May to visit some friends who live in Walnut Creek. Not surprisingly several activities on this trip would be beer-related. Are there any days to avoid, i.e. ones where lots of breweries or other destinations tend to be closed or have ****** hours?
Also goes without saying I'd be interested in touching tips with some of you drunkards if the trip does happen.

Here’s a spreadsheet I put together last time I was up there (February):I'm thinking about a somewhat impromptu Bay-area trip in early May to visit some friends who live in Walnut Creek. We're actually open everyday 11-9 now. Then go to Aptos Street BBQ afterwards.
Avoid Mondays as both are closed.

If you at eleven (opening), it's really not too bad.Avoid RR on Fri-Sun at all costs.
Thanks man. Our beer guy Mike has made it a regular thing to go brewery direct to for all 5 restaurants.Aptos really is a must visit. Their board was amazing when I was there last although I got lucky that one of their employees had just taken a trip down to San Diego and they had a bunch of awesome Societe stuff on the board.
They're not good. At all. Put out lots of beers with obvious off flavors etc.Not shocking because they aren't good or what? Never heard of them, personally but looks like they are moving to San Carlos.
Summed it up perfectly. They're not good. At all. Put out lots of beers with obvious off flavors etc.
Sounds like the perfect companion for Devil's Canyon. They're not good. At all. Put out lots of beers with obvious off flavors etc.
WC has OL, and not much else. Good, but expensive, place for bottles. Stuff sits a little longer than other places.I'm thinking about a somewhat impromptu Bay-area trip in early May to visit some friends who live in Walnut Creek. I live in Walnut Creek and would open few bottles to share one day if you like. Someone mentioned øL, but there's also Sunol Ridge downtown and The Hop Grenade in concord.I'm thinking about a somewhat impromptu Bay-area trip in early May to visit some friends who live in Walnut Creek. Just swung by Hop Grenade for the first time on Sunday. $35 bottles of Iris (on site only) was a good supplement to the solid tap/bottle list.I live in Walnut Creek and would opens few bottles to share one day if you like. And that insane recording studio for the Brewing Network!Just swung by Hop Grenade for the first time on Sunday. $35 bottles of Iris (on site only) was a good supplement to the solid tap/bottle list.
That's really how I heard about Hop Grenade. And that insane recording studio for the Brewing Network!
I'm definitely happy to have a close-ish place with a good tap list and beers that cost less than $11 for 25CL. Non price gouged Cantillon is cool too, if you're into that sort of thing.Just swung by Hop Grenade for the first time on Sunday. $35 bottles of Iris (on site only) was a good supplement to the solid tap/bottle list.
