I'm bailing. It being a guaranteed clusterfuck combined with jedwards saying the friendship blend is mediocre convinced me.

Yeah, I love each beer individually, but I don't expect the blend to be any better than the individual components. It's more of being able to drink beer that I love that's pretty hard to get. At least for someone that missed out on the BIAB bandwagon.

I honestly was not planning on going until Jeanine was like, "let's go up Friday night and we can crash at my sister's place in Santa Rosa, we have nothing better to do that day. " Well, if you make it that easy, it won't be as intolerable as it could be.

If anyone has a spare +1 let me know! I'd like to go but not enough to drive up there twice in a week.

Schubros is releasing their 3rd barrel aged beer today over in San Ramon. I've been a big fan of their first two, so hopefully this new is great too.

Not the biggest fan of their regular stuff, but they make great Belgian Styles and BA beers.

Flight to SFO is officially booked, arriving the Wednesday May 13th and leaving on the red eye Sunday the 17th at midnight. No set plans yet other than I'm mostly going to be hanging out with my friend Alana, who likes craft beer so I suspect we will do some brewery hitting and other beer things. Definitely want to check out Cellarmaker and Rare Barrel, and depending on the transportation situation I'm hoping to do a trip to SARA, and maybe RR/Lagunitas (that's lower priority though since I've already been to both). I'm sure some bar drinking will take place as well. If anyone is interested in touching tips let me know, and maybe we can plan something out (like a trip to SARA or whatever). Would also be down for a bottle share of some sort if that interests people.

What's the availability of FW Union Jack cans like in the area? I really want to pick up a case (or two, or three) and pack them in my checked bag on the way home.

Cans are even at Trader Joe's, so should be easy to track down

Bottle shares are encouraged and fun while drinking at SARA.

Sounds like a great way to kill two birds with one stone! Maybe do a TB meetup/share at SARA if that interests people? (and get food at that BBQ place that was mentioned earlier, perhaps). I'm fairly flexible on days, there was some talk of going to a wine festival Saturday but other than that nothing concrete.

Sounds good. I would post in the SARA Cellar thread when you decide a day/time, it seems a bit more active.

If it is on a weekend, there will be lots of regulars to SARA and TB there and lots of spontaneous bottle shares. Week days are chill/fun too.

Just make sure you go to Aptos BBQ early enough as they really do run out of food.

If you go to Sara on Saturday you can call and place an order with Aptos St BBQ by 1:30 and have your food delivered to Sara, just something to consider for anyone visiting...

If you guys see the two new Altamont Beers: New Kids on the Hops, and Smoke N Dank (I believe this was initially made for Aptos St. BBQ?), give them a try. The brewery will most likely kick both kegs today, but they have plenty sent all over. Had both last night and enjoyed crushing them. That New Kids on the Hops might be my new favorite from them.

the name has me laughing. I have had project dank and it is damn tasty.

what is new kids on the hops? double IPA?

It's a single I think, 7%, a mix of glaxy, lemon drop hop or some other **** like that. Very good though. It was a small batch they said since the hops aren't easy to get yet, but they will release it again when they get a chance.

This is a weird question, but I don't want to post to craigslist and deal with total strangers, so...

I have some crap I'd like to get rid of but don't want to just throw away. I have an xbox (batch 1) with some games and controllers that I'll give away. Also an old crappy grill. I have a large-ish TV and decent stand that I'd like to get some money for. If you're interested just PM me.

I would take you up on sexbox and grill (need a smoker) and would forward you a good assortment of homebrews... However I don't go east of 101 too often.

Setting up a cl ad for free pickup in the driveway and creeper status recording who gets the goods could always be fun.
