It’s out of the way but Berkeley Bowl West does singles of everything. It’s the best grocery store in the Bay Area. KL wines in SOMA also does singles.
They didn’t used to do singles of 4 pack cans. Like you couldn’t break a 4-pack up. I’m not sure if that’s still the case.

I was at Berkeley Bowl a month or so ago and I think you could(?) but almost all of their interesting beers like Alvarado St and what not are sold as singles anyway.

RE: Berkeley Bowl West
It depends on the beer. You won't see singles of stuff like Firestone Walker Mind Haze, but you'll see a very long shelf of IPA cans being sold as singles, including Alvarado St, which is often found in 4-packs at other stores.

As for City Beer, I think I've seen a lot of the cans being sold as singles.

There were several packs they wouldn't let me brak up a BBW. But yeah, they have a bunch of cans available as singles.

Awesome. Not looking for anything crazy, just trying to maximize my checked bag space with a couple things to share while camping and maybe a bottle of Pliny for my Dad for Fathers Day.
You can break up anything at City Beer, they just charge a more for singles, and they don’t always list their single prices on the shelf. They’ll definitely have Pliny and Blind Pig is you go on a Wednesday or Thursday.

check out liquid gold too if you have time. all of the above available, usually-great draft list, and a much less triggering IPA storage history than CBS.

but do either have Death and Taxes on draft?
