No idea about bottles, but Appreciation was gone. Also, holy hell was that a lot more crowded than I expected.

I nearly didn't stop. Drove past at 2 and detoured to Berkley Bowl after seeing the line. Able to walk in at 2:40 and as I ordered a Fields Forever was glad I flipped over the menu. Seemed a very high percentage of the crowd was drinking Appreciation.

Thanks for the heads up. Got there around 3:45 and was way too late. Was able to catch with up schwartzoid for a bit though.

We missed out on Appreciation, but secured bottles of Shadow of their Eyes, and holy **** was Fields Forever great. The coffee beer ******* rocked too!

Has anyone seen Andechs Doppelbock around Fremont or RWC?

I see from beermenus that it is in Alameda, but I wanted to see if a closer option was available.

There's no fricking way it would be worth it. And I'd like to lknow they're good first.

I lived a block away from there for awhile. Even if I still did, I'd be apprehensive. Not sure I'd utilize the free beers if they are blando "microbrews" ala BJs or other similar, uninspired breweries. Who knows though, they could end up doing some worthwhile stuff.

Are the guys that are starting this place well known/established brewers? It might be worth it if you lived close by and knew the place would be decent. But I'd be skeptical too.

Isn't this place close to Toronado?

Who's all hitting up the Rare Barrel Next Thursday for Enscrolled?

Just RSVP'd, but knowing what is going on a week in advance is a long shot. 50/50 chance of actually making it on the day.

Likely depend on what is on tap

Maybe they will have West Ashley or some other random surprise. I won't miss out this time.

I might be, but I'm not actually super interested in the third bottle at $30. We'll see how it plays out.

Splitting my membership with a homie, so it's easier to justify paying for half of the 3rd bottle and splitting it with him.

I'm a little surprised thought that they jumped the price from $20 for the regular releases to $30 for this beer. Ten bucks is a huge jump IMO. I sure hope it's not the norm with these more limited releases.

Yeah I'll basically stop buying them if they do that. They haven't been good enough to justify the price, and Ensorcelled isn't either.
