Mucho's across the street from ISO makes great burritos.

Hey guys, jacktse and I are planning on a TB/friends bottle share in San Jose on the 19th! jacktse talked to the guys at ISO and they're letting us use the outside area of their bar, as long as we buy at least one drink. I can probably make an actual thread with some specifics later, but putting this here first with the hope some of ya'll can make it out. Let me know if you are interested!
Come say hi if you are at Cellarmaker, wearing a Phillies hat.
How late are you staying? It's turning into a late night on my end but I'd love to make it work.
Not late, 3 hour drive for me from here. Maybe until 7?

Another time then. This time of year is pretty terrible hours-wise...
ISO is less than a block from Angelou's Mexican (sort of meh in my opinion - and what the hell is up with that orange sauce - but at least the burritos and tacos are acceptable), and just across the street from City Fish. Ike's Place is next door (no street crossing) and is open until 9, and sandwiches go well with bottle shares.
We'll be in decent shape for food.![]()
Just want to clarify that it's actually La Victoria with the orange sauce and it is fantastic. Also, I will be there!
Oh god don’t get me started… the bay area does a lot of food far FAR superior to San Diego, but they need some SD transplants to show them how to make burritos.I don't get it, but then again, I don't get rice on non-shrimp burritos
Please no. Nothing is more boring than people from San Diego talking about Mexican food.Oh god don’t get me started… the bay area does a lot of food far FAR superior to San Diego, but they need some SD transplants to show them how to make burritos.
Touché.Please no. Nothing is more boring than people from San Diego talking about Mexican food.
Angelou's has the same sauce.

We already got it a few years back. They just got a truck. As an SD transplant, you have no idea the joy the California burrito brings to me.Oh god don’t get me started… the bay area does a lot of food far FAR superior to San Diego, but they need some SD transplants to show them how to make burritos.
la vics orange sauce ***** on angelou's orange sauce
looks like there is another event that day
"Join ISO:beers and The Beer Heads December 19th at ISO:beers from 5pm to 9pm for our Toys For Tots toy drive to help the children in need this year. Bring an unwrapped toy and get a raffle ticket, each toy earns you a ticket towards our giveways (beer / gift cards / glassware) we'll have at 9:30pm. Show your raffle ticket through out the night to earn $1 off draft beers."
Usually around 4. But it depended on how many people, how many bottles they brought, etc.Yup, we noticed this too. ISO is pretty large and we plan to be outside (they recently got heat lamps) and we will be there on the early side so I don't foresee this being a huge problem. I always missed the Beer Revolution meet ups — how many hours did they last?
Best in the Bay Area. I'll stack it up against any SD burrito.

"I was having some major Mexican food withdrawals after coming to the bay area, because SoCal is seriously the home of amazing Mexican food. My sister brought me to La Mission after two years, and I have to say that as much as I bash on the food here, but when I ate my burrito, I was in heaven."

Aw, and I was looking forward to meeting the famous Arbitrator. Or have I already?
For the record. I am done with Alpine after those Green Flash bottles. But i am fickle, can be bought. Try me.Speaking of which, I need to renew your faith in Alpine Beer Arbitrator. Mebbe come SFBW.
