...Suspicion? It definitely happens. Also, when 50-50 switched distributors and they threw a hissy fit I thought it was pretty precious.

A lot of people don't like CBS because they upcharge on pretty much anything anyone reading this would want to buy (you'll probably see someone call them "City Rape Store" eventually), but I don't really care. Though I did laugh when Firestone 15 had just come out and they had 14 on the shelves for like $35. I guess some sucker bought it...
I was attempting to maintain some ironic distance.

Was the 14 window and heat aged like all their other shelf beers?

On the other hand, they did get some Jester King a few months ago. So that was fun.

Oh really? Which ones? I was peeking in and out of a lot of stores at that time and unfortunately I never found any others...

Thoughts on Baby Blammo (w/coconut)? Looking to get a growler fill today, sounds really tasty.

Anniversary stuff looks great.

Chances are I'll like it, so it'll be $5 + $18 == $9.20/pint (for 2.5 pints which is too much anyway) vs. $9/pint. This is what goes on in my head all the time! I can't help it! This in addition to the fact that I don't like to drink unless I'm feeling up for it, and 3pm is not the time for that.

(Also, I think it's only $15 a growler.)

If you like heavy coconut, you will like it. Coconut bomb. One of the few times at Cellarmaker I've gone for a second pint rather than tried something else.

If you're hemming and hawing over an additional $0.20/pint maybe you shouldn't be buying a growler in the first place?

Meh. Sure, it's irrational, but it's not like there's any beer from Cellarmaker that I'll hate. And again, drinking in the afternoon is not for me.

Fantastic but Tiny Dankster would be my fill of choice today. Ran through tasters of the whole board yesterday, then just switched between Tiny Dankster and Baby Blammo. Both great but TD wins by a hair for me.

Whoa... K&L sold out of Nelson in less than 5 hours. Is this gonna become another Pliny?

No. First time it's ever had a distro release outside San Diego County. The novelty will wear off and it will sell slower. Might never collect dust but due to Green Flash's capacity, it will never be a Pliny situation.

wake me up when Alpine distributes Alpine bottled Nelson, just say no to green flash nelson
Eh, the stuff I've had is better than anyone's making up here. (Note: I am not a huge fan of Cellarmaker's IPAs. They are all good, none are great.)

This batch of GF Nelson is roughly equivalent to an average batch of Alpine Nelson with some minor differences. It falls short of the best batches of Nelson but it's the best batch Green Flash has done. Sleep on it if you want but it's good beer.

Mainly to do with the cozy relationship between them and Artisan distribution (the same owners), which leads to suspicion they get more allocated product than other stores that don't also own a distributor.
Lol "suspicion"
