Blammo is great. Thanks for the tips! ...Crap, I joked about whisky banana coconut stouts earlier but I think that would actually make for an amazing beer.

I'm a little confused by Hoppy Birthday. All I can taste is pure bitterness. The only hoppy/floral character I can detect is in the aroma. Is it just me? I'm not even complaining, I'm just perplexed. Maybe my taste buds are miscalibrated today.

I think I may have posted this over in the other sandbox, but I had Hoppy Birthday on Sunday and it was undrinkable. It tasted almost like pure soap to me. I had just finished with some Thai food nearby, including a Thai iced tea, so maybe that caused a palate effect. Still, it was gross.

They still charged me for it, though - I'll never return to the Albany Taproom.

I was eating nori rice crackers at the time so maybe that had something to do with it? But it seems like a stretch.

People are entirely too harsh on GF. These guys are small, up and comer new jacks. It's crazy to expect them to instantly dial in recipes in the blink of 2 years.

There's a few things wrong with this set of statements in the context of the general sentiment expressed earlier, which was "we miss real Alpine beer." I'll leave it to you to figure it out BB ;)

Here's a hint: It's OK to miss a thing that was once awesome but changed for the worse when different people got their hands on it.
