This is more my point. People are free to spend money on whatever they want. I just think it's kinda crazy when RR is not the only game in town anymore that they would charge what is more than double comparable offerings.
I guess the charity angle would be the likely justification - and it's great that they raise money for breast cancer awareness/research/whatever else - but the pricing has gotten silly, especially if Temptation is still the base beer. When Sonambic was the base, you had a reasonable case for a few extra bucks per bottle, but fruited Temptation shouldn't be $1.81/oz.

I might be crazy but I think RR has definitely been getting worse. And I don't just mean in comparison to other options. This Beat being a shadow of its former self on draft is one of the reasons I didn't bother trying to get any.
Beat was fine on tap. Haven't opened a bottle yet. I've found Blind Pig and Row 2 to be off recently but that could be due to drinking a lot more Fieldwork and Cellarmaker.

That's a fair point about the charity angle with this beer. Makes some sense.

Agree. I enjoyed Beat on tap.

And two visits in a row that Row 2 wasn't on tap. I'm starting to take it personal

Super happy to hear this. Some great friends there. I'll definitely be there a few times over the next weekish. Haven't been up since the soft opening.

I haven't been able to keep up with things lately, too busy, so I missed the opportunity to renew for TRB club, are there any other breweries around that are offering bottle memberships for '16 still? It was nice having some beer set aside for me.

Libertine still have some left apparently.

Pig bottles are back today. Curious to see what you think of Framboise on tap since you brew. There a definite off flavor in it.

I don't have much experience with FFAC on tap as I just relocated here less than a year ago...also avoided going today as I have been there too many times this week. We have/planning on doing a vertical and iso: '10.

Reports that there is plenty of fruit but lacking in brett.

If you want TRB club beers, holler at me. I want to unload.

Mraz goes on sale October 16th. Not the Bay, but closer than Libertine. Hanger 24 and 50/50 are coming up soon too.

Maybe i've picked up dud's but I am 4/4 in absolue crap from Mraz. They have had my experimental money and failed. All the others I could see as worthy.

I would try them again. Everything I've had from them has been good to really good.

*Disclaimer: I know nothing about beer, have a terrible palate and am not a ciceroni. I'm just joining for the 3L.

For the Mraz price point? Not for a while.

Wow, if this is the case this same exact thing happened last time I came up to Santa Rosa for this same bike ride event two years ago. I wonder if it'll hang around till Friday. Don't suppose any of you guys are riding in Levi's Gran Fondo on Saturday? Staying in Santa Rosa Friday/Saturday then probably bummin around the bay a few days. Never ridden Mt Diablo yet so that's probably happening Monday followed by several rounds of replenishment across the East Bay. Cruisin around the city on Tuesday? Santa Cruz mtb wednesday?

Don't run me over too hard.

Any chance you have a MTB and a suitcase of Nelson?

If so, lets touch when you cross a bridge.

Grabbed 6 beets at Whole Foods. One didn't ring up with the 20% discount, so the extra 10% discount did not kick in. Of course i only noticed after i pay.

I look at the receipt and quickly see they owe me $7.60 plus tax. First employee gets out a calculator and determines they owe me $3.40, erm nope.

Second employee gets up to $5.00, third one just looks baffled. i suggest they re-ring it to make sure. Guess how much I walked out with?

10 beets?

Grabbed 12 random bottles, totaled around $147, then $111 after the sale kicked in.

Damn, Grabbed some Speedway, BOMB!, Almanac Sours, and some BA Bigfoots too. Helluva deal, may have to go back and grab another random 6 bottles before I regret it next week when I am just picking up beer.
