My second batch has been in primary for 12 days, and the yeasties appear to still be workin hard. Took a sample today and it tasted great!

Code:
Hop Head Double IPA liquid extract kit from Midwest
Munton's premium gold dry yeast

1/28/09 day 0 gravity 1.066 temperature 63F
    brewed
1 boil over before hop additions
    aerated by shaking
used reverse osmosis top off water
used slightly too much top off water
dry yeast was not rehydrated (as per instructions)
    OG 1.066, target 1.070-1.074
    target FG 1.016-1.018
fermentation was most vigorous on day 2
2/2/09 day 5 gravity 1.024 temperature 70F
2/4/09 day 7 gravity 1.022 temperature 68F
I took a big whiff and it burned my nose
It possibly looked slightly unusual and I took a picture.
2/9/09 day 12 gravity 1.018 temperature 73F
    tastes great :)

I thought I stirred pretty well. How much would I have to go over on the top-off water to get this OG?

What's your fermenter room temp? 73 makes me think the yeasties are still at work....

My last brew took a full 9 days to frement through but your starting OG was much higher than mine. So I'm just asking to help edjucate myself.

Ambient temp got pretty warm today. Although fermentation appears to still be moving along, it isn't strong enough to heat up (I think) or blow bubbles through the airlock.
