Basil Pepper beer ideas

So my brother lives in TX and he sent me a pic of a basil/pepper beer. It was amber in color and sounds like a crazy cool idea. Any ideas what I could do to achieve this beer. I'd really like to hear all the ideas you may have. It was basil and black pepper so I'm excited to see how this might work out.
