I am trying to run some numbers for a recipe using brewtoad... When I add my fermentable options, I started by inputing 3.5 lbs of pale 2 row. This showed no change in OG. After adding all of my options in fermentable, my OG says 1.008. The recipe Im following says it should be around 1.057... Am I just not understanding something or is the software off?

I've never used brew toad. But make sure your efficiency number is set to 65 to 70% and that you have the type of recipe as a partial mash. It sounds like it's set as an extract batch so that it's not showing fermentable sugars from the grain.

Thank you so much yooper! It was indeed set to extract I did not even know that was an option. It all looks exactly how it is supposed to now lol.
