I built a three legged stand for my BC Barley Crusher today......... I haven't painted it up all pretty yet. All made from scavenged parts welded up. It's designed for hand grinding. There is a foot rest to hold down on one corner, and an arm wrest for your left arm, while grinding with your right. I seldom crush more than 5-6 pounds of malt, as I brew 2.5 gallon batches. The foot rest and arm wrest allow you to put a lot of pressure on the crank. I crush very fine for BIAB. A piece of galvanized stove pipe will be added later to keep the fines in the container.
Note that I'm working on an "improved" crusher built from scratch using larger diameter rollers. It will have a seat and pedals, and both rollers will be driven.
