I'm just about finished with a brew stand I am making using recycled bed frame metal. I mounted my burners and they look great however, the banjo burner looks a little close to the bottom of the kettle. How much distance should I leave between that burner and the kettle?

Thanks!

Not sure what the optimal distance is....but mine are at 6". Mine were salvaged from anotber burner application and I just kept the same distance.

I was thinking about going 4" considering the flame height. How long does it take you to get to strike temps at 6"? Mine will be used for the HLT so I won't be boiling with it.
