Ball lock QD on the outside of collar?

I think I saw a picture of somebody's keggerator where they had hooked up their CO2 through the side of the collar on the chest freezer with a ball lock QD.

Whose is that and what was used to mount it on there?

I bought some of those CPC quick disconnects with 1/4" barbs and they leak like the dickens. Pieces of crap!

That quick disconnect is a great idea.

the easiest method of doing that, that i can think of, would be to use a 1/4'' flare shank that you can get at most home brew shops (austinhomebrew has it), and then get a 1/4'' flare to ball lock post threads, i believe northernbrewer has it, and then get the ball lock post.

it may sound complicated, but it shouldn't be too bad.

whatever you decide to do, check for leaks periodically to make sure things stay leak-free.
