The OP mentioned that this was after 3 weeks in the primary and 1 week in secondary. Can it really still be cold break and yeast?
Sorry for any confusion. It was 2 weeks in primary and 1 week in secondary when the pics were taken and yes, I did use whirl floc.
I'd say you're fine, I've seen yeast clump and raft like that, especially when you use whirl floc. Like I said, it really looks like it broke into clumps and floated up. Yeast are strange things, they do strange things. I wouldn't worry.![]()
Sometimes, when I gaze too long into a fermenting vessel, I start believing that alien beings that have evolved from simple yeasts are controlling humanity from outer space and are patiently preparing our planet for harvest/invasion.
