I'm gonna take the Hob Goblin to a whole new level.

I'm not sure whether I'm gonna scale the thing up as is or tweak it.
Any idea's Suggestions?

I'm thinking 8% to 12 % range.

oooh I like it. I just brewed the goblin 2 days ago. Missed my OG by 5 points :( but still looked/smelled great.

Keep it balanced. Kick up the alc %, but bring the hops and maltyness with it.

I think after my porter, stout and this beer, I've figured out I'm a big fan of malty beers.

Good luck with the new recipe.
The HG I brewed in Oct is still in secondary, well tertiary, actually. Re-pitched fresh yeast, added yeast nutrient and it won't budge from .023. Every time I take a sample it acts like it's already carbed.

i was thinking of doing a decoction with your hobgoblin II orfy to try to get that wonderful malty sweetness that the original has and i still seem to be missing
