I've realized I've been on the forum for several months and never introduced myself.

I've been brewing since Dec. 10, started with the Mr. Beer kits, did 4 of those while gearing up to do 5 Gal. batches. Two of the three 5 Gal batches were split between 2 Mr. Beer fermenters. I've just bottled my first true 5 Gal. batch, along with proper temp. control with fridge and controller. I would have to say this is so far the best batch to date. Equipment has made a big difference, but the learning process and wealth of information from here has helped considerably.

Quick history of myself. Grew up on a dairy farm from southern Minnesota, joined the Army and did a 10 year stint as a Carpentry/Masonry Specialist and then as a Helicopter Structures Mechanic. Got out, lived in Florida for 5 months, then landed a job with Boeing in Mesa, Az. Been here since 2001 and never been happier, especially since I've discovered brewing.

Welcome to the forum! I'm out in Maricopa but I spend a lot of time in Scottsdale and Chandler/Gilbert due to there being nothing out by my house.

Perhaps we can have a beer or two at the next ASH meeting, if you havent joined us yet do look into it!

Thanks for the welcomes. Been a long time lurker, figured I'd come out of the woodwork a little more now that I feel more comfortable with the whole brewing process. I learned quickly on what not to worry about and what to focus on. A pre-and post thank you to all of you guys and gals here.
