Good day all
The day is nearly upon me, basement brewery build just about complete and need to Auto tune the HLT pid. ( Nervous for the first brew)

I'm probably overthinking this, but when auto tuning, should I fill the HLT to its full 20 gallon or is around 10 gallon fine.

Yes I'm crazy but after all the time and effort I just want to get this right so i can brew away.

Thanks all

From my experience Autotune gives best results when your "tune" setup is close as possible to your regular brew day setup plus you start Autotune when temperature is close to your target one. Just a few degree below.
