I am searching for a external heat sink for 2 SSRS. Anybody have experience with these external heat sinks from Auberins?

I am using 40A SSRs for my elements but I am wondering if I can get away with using these 25A heat sink as the 5500W elements draw a max of about 23A? The description for the 25A version states "It allows the SSR to handle up to 25 Amp without forced air cooling."

Spend the extra $15 for the bigger ones. Your SSRs will thank you (and reward you with a longer lifespan). They get quite hot, especially if you plan on using PWM.

I bought 40A SSR's that came with heat sinks. I'm not going to use the heatsinks as I bought Kal's external heatsink. You can have them for whatever the cost of shipping is.

Thanks for the offer I3asturd but I am looking for heat sinks I can seal to the outside of the panel. Trying to keep everything water and wort tight!

Get the external heat sink rated for the SSR. You will eliminate a whole bunch of problems down the road.

Just do it.
