I tend to learn the hard way. I found a "Welder" on CL and had him add a new coupling on my MT. Apparently he didn't listen very well to my instructions and did not weld it so that I could use the threads on the inside. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1488842171.114976.jpg

Here are my choices:
1. Bring it back. Ask him to tap it or fix it
2. Try and tap it myself (never done this before
3. Seek out a machine shop to fix / tap it

Other ideas?

On the up side - and assuming the other side looks as clean - that's one of the best SS welding jobs I've seen on HBT...

Cheers!

Yes - he is a good welder. The other side is perfect- clean and useable. He just didn't listen very well. [emoji3]
