Hey guys, my brother just dropped his whole home brew set up at my house so equipment wise I’m set and super excited about what I can do with it. I have two questions for the old hats. When you make mead how much time do you carve out (especially knowing that you have dusty equipment to clean and sanitize)? Can it be done in a short evening or is it a 4 hour ordeal every time? Also what temp do you typically enjoy your mead? The only recommendation I have seen is “cellar temperature” which sounds like slightly chilled.

I started making mead because of its extremely short "brew day" compared to beer. Having done it a half dozen times, it's now a 30m job. Clean your new-to-you gear beforehand.

Cellar temp is roughly 55°F. I enjoy my 13% traditional at room temp.
