What a loss...every female R&B singer from the past 50 years owes a debt of gratitude to the Queen of Soul. She could belt 'em out--no one will ever match that talent. RIP.

The Sirius XM channel Soultown is currently playing non-stop Aretha. I think they're doing it for a few more days. Been fun listening to it.
Untrained, gifted beyond measure. Couldn't listen to her without wanting to move. Powerful soul. Peace to her memory. Great Lady.

Untrained? She grew up singing in a choir. Plenty of training there.
