My friends and I gave been collecting bottles to shave the cost of brewing. We have a normal caper that works great for all bottles but twist caps. Can I cap them like regular or is there a special cap or capper I need?

The twist off bottles don't seal reliably with caps, so I toss them in the recycling bin.

Pitch 'em. If you try to use them, you'll just be wasting beer.

Funny story, I accidentally used a twist-off and took it to my brother’s house an hour away. Somehow I ended up in lecture mode and held up the bottle and pointed at it. I barely grazed the cap with my little fingernail and the cap flew off.

When we quit laughing I poured the beer and it was fine.
