I bought the aquarium aeration system with stone to aerate the cooled wort. I have left it plugged in for about 10 minutes and got a lot of foam. The instructions said to leave it plugged in for 30 minutes. How long is enough time? What should I do with all of the foam as it was at the top of my fermenting bucket? I will be making several kits with high gravity and should need to use the system in the future. I really didn't need to use it on the other kits, but wanted to try it. In the past I just stirred with my big spoon.

of all of the aeration methods the aquarium pump is dead last in efficiency, you'd get better results just shaking the fermentor.
