This is an apfelwein made with White labs Hefe Weizen yeast.
Just starting to ferment. I put the pot there to catch any excess krausen.
Switched to a 3 piece airlock, fermentation is getting pretty vigorous. (note the splatter on the underside of the table)
Switched to a blow-off tube in an effort to not make such a mess. The pot worked, but the foam still splattered everywhere.
A 1 1/4" OD (1" ID) hose fits perfectly (with a little plastic wrap) into a 3 piece airlock.
