Hi folks. I cold crashed my end wort's apfelwein for 36 hours made room in the kitchen fridge. Great way t find a reason to clean out out.

Abv came out to 7.8%

I bottled it with enough sugar for about 2.0 level of carb.

It's now been in the bottle a day. Not a tiny spec of anything at the bottom of the bottles.

This is my first non beer brew.

Should there be slight traces of yeast at the bottom of the bottles?

I haven't made apfelwein, but I have made a batch of cider, and I think it tends to clear a lot better than beer does if you give it time. It took a little longer to carb up (maybe a month), but even once it was fully carbed there was little to no sediment at the bottom of the bottles. I could pour a whole 500 mL bottle to the last drop and it was still crystal clear.

I'd say give it at least a month in the bottles before you get concerned. Worst case scenario, you end up with still apfelwein, although I'd be surprised if that happened.

Thank you! It's my first try and was worried I did something wrong.
